Surfside Sisters by Nancy Thayer

This was one of these books which you want to finish in one go. Easy read with storyline makes this for a perfect beach or poolside or vacation read. The story revolves about two childhoold best friends Keely Green and Isabelle who share the same ambition of becoming accomplished authors. Set in Nantucket, the plot revolves around their lives from childhood to adult in Nantucket. Keely Green becomes an accomplished author with her first book becoming a best seller and another book to publish an year after. However, she longs for companionship and wonders what decision holds best for her - Sebastian, her love from childhood and brother of her best friend Isabelle or Gray - an accomolished pediatric surgeon who she met in New York. On the other hand, Isabelle has the companioinship that she wanted with Tommy along with their bay however was sad that she had not published any book. The story revolves around forgiveness and self discovery for both best friends. At the end, both friends get their ambition of being published authoers along with the companionship they hoped for.
Sometimes this book reminded me of Indian movies with drama about various relationships - friend, husband, parents. If Karan Johar reads this book, definitely another Bollywood movie might be in the making.
